Ideally you'd run that flat cable directly to your PC. The flat cables are very thin and are easy to 'hide' if you get the same color as the wall. Get a flat ethernet cable (Cat6 or similar) and run that cable along the walls in the corner. Your device using 5GHz means nothing at this time, as the 2 'mesh' devices are not using 5GHz to talk to each other. This is because 'mesh' devices use 2.4GHz to communicate to each other and microwaves also use 2.4GHz. You could setup a 'mesh' network (if all of your devices support it and are from the same vendor) and those do tend to be semi-reliable, but your bandwidth is limited and any use of a microwave near or in between that wireless signal will cause the wireless to be useless as long as the microwave is in use.
